Program: Knitting of Southern Sweden
Speaker: Carol Rhoades
We will welcome in the New Year, and we will also welcome our own Carol Huebscher Rhoades for a presentation titled “The Knitting of Southern Sweden.” In addition to her independent design work, Carol writes and publishes on topics including spinning, crochet, and historic and ethnic Scandinavian textiles and has numerous articles and designs in print. She is one of the best respected translators of works on Scandinavian textiles and knitting, and she has collaborated with authors such as Anna Marie Sundbo and Arne and Carlos to help bring their work to an English speaking audience. For a quick peek at some of Carol’s independent designs, check her Ravelry page.
